SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (May 4, 2021) – Officials with the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series and Duck River Raceway Park have jointly decided to reschedule the series events scheduled for Friday May 14 and Saturday May 15. The tentative date of the rescheduled events will either be in the month of August or the month of October.
Series and track officials stated that when the events were originally scheduled, it appeared be a feasible weekend to present these events. However, when the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rescheduled events to those dates (May 14 at 411 Motor Speedway) and May 15(Talladega Short Track), both series and track officials decided that it would probably not be the best weekend to present these events. Both the series and the track want to respect other events in the area that weekend and decided to move the events to a more suitable date.
The next event for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will now be on Saturday May 22 at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY for the Johnny Wheeler Memorial, which will pay $5,031 to win and will also be a points event for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series.
