SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (July 27, 2021) – The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will make its first-ever visit to Mountain View Raceway in Spring City, TN on Saturday July 31, with the 25-lap main event paying $1,200 to win and $125 to start.
Mountain View Raceway will host the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series for the first-time ever on Saturday July 31 in a full program of Practice, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Heat Races, and the 25-lap, $1,200 to win feature event. Joining the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series in action at Mountain View Raceway on Saturday July 31 will be the track’s Late Model, Sportsman, B-Hobby, Thunder, Dwarf, Front Wheel Drive, and B-Sportsman divisions. Activities at Mountain View Raceway on Saturday July 31 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission set to open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:15 p.m., with practice laps and time trials getting underway immediately following the driving meeting. Ticket prices at Mountain View Raceway on Saturday July 31 in the general admission area and tier parking area will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-11, and children ages 5 and under are free. A pit pass will be $30 for adults, $15 for children ages 6-11, and children ages 5 and under are free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction the event and the tire rule will be as follows: Left Front, Right Front, and Left Rear- Hoosier M30S and American Racer Hard; Right Rear- Hoosier M30S, M60, Medium, and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. All tires may be siped anywhere on the car. No grooving of any tires. Drivers will be required to time trial and heat race on the same four tires that must be marked prior to time trials and will be allowed one (1) new right rear for the feature event. The entry fee will be $40 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $30 tow money.
Blake Brown of Corbin, KY enters the weekend of racing action with the series points lead and is the most recent series winner at I-75 Raceway on July 10. Trailing Brown in the points coming into this event at Mountain View Raceway are Ricky Tinch of Deer Lodge, TN, Wayne James of Newport, TN, Amos Bunch of Wartburg, TN, and Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY.
