Jadon Frame Tops Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series June Jam at Mountain View Raceway

SPRING CITY, TENNESSEE (June 4, 2022)– The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series would make its second-ever visit to Mountain View Raceway in Spring City, TN on Saturday evening for the track’s June Jam event and Jadon Frame of Winchester, TN would inherit the lead on lap thirty-four and drive away to grab the $5,000 payday.

The win by Frame would be his first career Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series victory and would aboard a Capital Race Car powered by a Vic Hill Race Engine and carries sponsorship from Denby’s J&J Merchandise, Poultry Electric, and Teddy’s Lawn Mower Service.

Addison Cardwell would take the lead at the start of the June Jam feature event, followed by Jaden Frame, Kyle Courtney, Barry Goodman, and Cody Overton. The front five remained the same until Overton would pass Goodman for the fourth position, while Hanger would begin to pressure Goodman for fifth and would take the spot on lap seven. Cardwell would begin to lap slower traffic on lap nine, as he and Frame would put some distance back to third place Courtney. The race would remain green until Don Van Winkle would spin his car in turn one to draw the first caution of the event. The restart would see Cardwell maintain the lead, with Frame second, while Overton would pass Courtney for third, only to have Courtney reclaim the third position one circuit later, while Hanger maintained fifth. The caution would appear again on lap twenty-five when Shannon Elrod would slow to a stop in turn two. The restart would see the top five remain the same, with Cardwell and Frame again pulling away from the field. The final caution would appear on lap thirty-four when Cardwell and Frame would make contact on the frontchute and Cardwell would spin to the infield and his night would be finished. Frame would inherit the lead on the restart, with Courtney, Overton, Hanger, and Jesse Lowe in pursuit. Lowe would make the top side work on the restart and Lowe would take fourth position from Hanger on lap thirty-seven. Frame would lead the remainder of the way and score the victory, with Courtney and Overton finishing second and third, while Lowe and Hanger completed the top five. Fifteenth starting Michael Chilton would finish sixth, with the remainder of the top ten being Heath Hindman, Colton Proffitt, John Ownbey, and Joe Denby.

Cody Overton of Evans, GA would claim a $500 bonus from the series for the best average feature finish from Ponderosa Speedway (6th place) on Friday and Mountain View Raceway on Saturday (3rd place).

The next events for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will be at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA on Friday July 1 for the Stars and Stripes 40 paying $5,000 to win, Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Saturday July 2 for the 3rd Annual Hall of Fame Classic paying $5,000 to win, and Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN on Sunday July 3 for the Firecracker 40 paying $5,000 to win.
