Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Adds June 29 Event at Atomic Speedway paying $5,000-to-win

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 7, 2024)—Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP are pleased to announce the addition of Saturday June 29th to the schedule at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio paying $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start. After the track has had four rainouts and the series has had two rainouts early in the season, series and track officials have put this event together.

With drivers only taking their best 80 percent of races at season’s end, series officials have added this event to keep the schedule around the original “20 events”. The event at Atomic Speedway on June 29 features action in the Valvoline American Late Model Series racing 40 laps in the main event along with action in the Open Wheel Modifieds and Sport Mods.

“Rainouts make it tough on everyone. Everyone can put out the best schedules and truly work together then rain becomes a factor and the schedules all get messed up so that’s why we put the 80% rule in the rulebook so that drivers and teams have the options of hitting events closer to home and plan vacations etc.,” stated Series Promoter Chris Tilley. “Our sponsors, race teams & race tracks expect us to get as many shows in as close to the original schedule as possible. I appreciate Charlie Vest and Atomic Speedway for stepping up to help the series and asking us to be part of this event,” stated Tilley again.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP will be back in action with an Ohio-Kentucky Doubleheader on Friday June 14 at MRP (Moler) Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio for the “Impact RaceGear 40” paying $5,000-to-win then Saturday June 15 at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky. paying $10,000-to-win presented by Jent Logging & Story Realty.
