Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP – Mid-Season update 7/29/24

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (July 30, 2024) —After nine (9) completed events, Rusty Schlenk of McClure, Ohio holds the series points lead with a 65-point lead over Ryan Missler of Bellevue, Ohio and Seth Daniels of Jackson, Ohio who are both tied for the runner-up spot. Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio sits six points out of the tie for second spot and Devin Shiels of Britton, Mich. sits in fifth position in points.

There have been seven (7) different winners in nine (9) feature events held so far this season. Rusty Schlenk (Attica Raceway Park & Oakshade Raceway), Hudson O’Neal (Atomic Speedway), Zack Dohm (MRP Raceway Park), Josh Rice (Mudlick Valley Raceway), Devin Gilpin (Brownstown Speedway), Tyler Erb (Tri-State Speedway) and Nick Hoffman (MRP Raceway Park & Atomic Speedway) have all won feature events. In total, $247,425 has been paid out amongst 154 different competitors that have run at least one series event. The average car count has been (34) in the first nine events.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP will be back in action on Saturday August 10th at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio for the Don & Hans Gross Memorial paying $5,000-to-win. The race on August 10 at Wayne County starts a busy four-week stretch of events heading into the Labor Day weekend event at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio paying $5,000-to-win on Sunday September 1st with the running of the 16th Annual Baltes Classic honoring Eldora Speedway founders and promoters Earl & Berneice Baltes.
