Iron-Man Late Model Series
Wet Weather Forecast Halts Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels Action at Crystal Motor Speedway
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (August 16, 2024)- Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and officials with Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, Mich. have made the decision to cancel the event scheduled at the track for Saturday August 17. The event will not be rescheduled.
With rain showers off and on during the day on Friday and weather models forecasting early morning rain showers and more rain with possible thunderstorms developing on Saturday afternoon, series and track officials felt it would be in the best interest of the race teams and race fans, those traveling far distances and those local to the area as well, to not attempt to run the event. With no available makeup dates available with the series, the event will not be made up in 2024. The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels hopes to be able to work with Crystal Motor Speedway again and schedule an event for the 2025 season and wishes Crystal Motor Speedway the best of luck with their remaining 2024 season.
The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels is set to return to action on Saturday August 24 with a visit to Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Mich. paying $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start.
